OUR MISSION
Vixiñuu represents fine artisanal resort wear made by artisan women in rural communities across Mexico. The brand achieves the fusion of traditional design, passed down from generations, with innovation for a uniquely fresh look. A style that is bold while unassuming, capturing the essence of the modern woman. Each one-of-a-kind piece is carefully designed, hand embroidered with the finest natural textiles and yarns, bearing the artisan’s mark. Embroidery whose complexity is made to look airy and natural, keeping the artform alive and bringing its historical roots to the present.
Vixiñuu is committed to the artisans and their communities. Our goal is to honor local traditions and heritage while empowering women to thrive and value their work through fair trade. We partner with foundations assisting these local communities by promoting productive enterprises that in turn, help provide food and housing security, promote health, and encourage savings at the local level, resulting in a better quality of life for these communities.
THE FOUNDERS
Vixiñuu’s three founders have backgrounds in design, architecture, and business. Residing in New York City, with strong links to Mexico and its rich textile artistry, they are inspired by bridging cultures and people, helping indigenous artisans preserve their art and tell their stories though creations worn all across the world.
